Compassion is our heart

Jesus was often moved with compassion, meeting people in their deepest needs — healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and giving hope to the broken. Matthew 9:36 says, “When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” As His church, we want to reflect that same heart by seeing others through His eyes, meeting needs both spiritual and practical, and extending His love in real, tangible ways. For this reason, compassion is our heart!

There is great need in the world, and as followers of Christ, we are called to step into it with compassion. When we care for the hurting, the hungry, and the broken, we are ultimately serving Him. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” In speaking these words, He pointed us toward the poor, the marginalized, and those who need our help most. When our compassion reflects His heart, it becomes an act of true worship pleasing to Him.

Love in action

At Motion Church, we host a monthly event called Love in Action. These events can vary from raising funds and delivering lunches to our local sheriff’s department, to giving free haircuts and shoes during back-to-school season for those in need. We’ve seen incredible things happen when compassion meets practical need — lives are touched, communities are strengthened, and hearts are drawn closer to God in the process. Foreign Missions

At Motion Church, our Foreign Missions ministry allows us to take the love of Christ beyond our local community to people around the world. From supporting missionaries to partnering with international ministries, we aim to meet both spiritual and practical needs while sharing the hope of Jesus. We’ve seen God do incredible work through these partnerships — lives transformed, communities strengthened, and His Kingdom advanced.
