"We Believe"
Pastor Albert Almore
“But even Michael, one of the mightiest of the angels, did not dare accuse the devil of blasphemy, but simply said, “The Lord rebuke you!” (This took place when Michael was arguing with the devil about Moses’ body.)”
Jude 1:9
Here lies another text that gives yet another glimpse into spiritual warfare. Moses has just died, and we find Michael and Satan arguing over Moses body. It’s widely accepted that Satan, which Revelation 12:10 describes as the accuser was attempting to resist Moses being raised to eternal life because of his prior sins, especially for killing a man in Exodus 2. Not only does this text give us a glimpse into spiritual warfare, this text gives reminds us of the battle that’s constantly taking for our souls, that’s constantly raging.
The battle is raging because Revelation 12:12 says,
“Therefore, rejoice, O heavens! And you who live in the heavens, rejoice! But terror will come on the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you in great anger, KNOWING THAT HE HAS LITTLE TIME.””
Revelation 12:12
What is he setting out to do during this little time?
“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
Revelation 12:9
He knows that Revelation 20:12 is coming…
“I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.”
Revelation 20:12-13
“Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death.”
Revelation 20:14
“And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 20:15
This is where the enemy wants as many souls as possible to be. Time is ticking. The Bible will be fulfilled. This is why we must do all that we can to reach our family, loved ones, co workers, strangers, whosoever with the good news of Jesus Christ!
Just like this formerly known demon possessed man, we’ve been saved not just to ourselves. We’ve been saved for others. Mark 5:18 reads,
As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed kept begging Him to be with Him. Mark 5:18
These people crazy don’t leave me here. Take me with you!
“However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.””
Mark 5:19
“And he departed, and began to PUBLISH in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.”
Mark 5:20
“So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to PROCLAIM the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them.”
Mark 5:20
No one keeps good news to theirselves! We’re called to publish all that God has done. We’re called to proclaim all that God has done. Romans 10:13 tells us exactly what that Good News is. It reads,
📝 “For WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13
When God says WHOSOEVER, He means WHOSOEVER. It doesn’t matter about your past. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done. It doesn’t matter what you’ve said. WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!
📝 His SACRIFICE runs deeper than our SINS.
📝 His GRACE runs deeper than our GUILT.
📝 His MERCY runs deeper than our MESS.
📝 His HISTORY runs deeper than our HISTORY.
WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved! But Romans 10:14 goes on to say….
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless SOMEONE tells them?”
Romans 10:14
📝 You are somebody’s SOMEONE.
“Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.”
Matthew 28:18
“Therefore, GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19
“Teach these NEW DISCIPLES to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, even to the end of the age.””
Matthew 28:20
Jesus gives us our mission, called the great commission, then Jesus turns and says, I’m not asking you to do this on your own.
And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS.
Jesus wants to carry out The Great Commission THROUGH YOU.
“For the Son of Man came to SEEK and SAVE those who are lost.””
Luke 19:10
Jesus wants to SEEK and SAVE those who are lost THROUGH YOU.
In the midst of our busyness, He still notices the one lost sheep. He still sees value in that one lost coin. He’s still in love with that one lost child. May our hearts do the same.
Peter said it best in Acts 2:39…
“THE PROMISE is FOR YOU and YOUR CHILDREN and FOR ALL who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.””
Acts 2:39
NO ONE IS TOO FAR AWAY FOR THIS LOVE THAT CAME NEAR.
Maybe you’ve been thinking, "Help, I have a lost loved one! What do I do?”
Before you do anything
Always remember that’s it’s not on you to save anybody. Always remember that you can’t change anyone. You’ll do more damage trying to be the Holy Spirit than you would good.
Jesus says, And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS. In other words, when it’s come to reaching seeking and saving the lost, don’t leave me out the equation.
📝 Allow me to PRAY through you.
“Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, PLEADING FOR US.”
Romans 8:34
Since I’m always with you, allow me to pray through you. Here’s why, 2 Corinthians 4:4 says,
“The god of this age has BLINDED THE MINDS OF UNBELIEVERS, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
2 Corinthians 4:4
📝 2 Corinthians 4:4 should produce GRACE over GRUDGES for the lost. They can’t see it.
No matter what they do, say, or treat me while in their lost state, THEY WON’T GO THROUGH LIFE WITHOUT MY PRAYERS. My prayer is that the lost will FIND what I’ve FOUND.
When Elisha found himself facing an invasion he wasn’t worried about it, but the young lad was until II Kings 6:17 happened. It reads…
“And Elisha PRAYED, and said, “Lord, I PRAY, OPEN HIS EYES that he may see.” Then THE LORD OPENED THE EYES of the young man, and he saw...
II Kings 6:17
“And [I PRAY] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people),”
Ephesians 1:18
📝 Allow me to LOVE through you.
“Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others].”
1 Peter 4:8
📝 Love hasn’t LOST IT’S POWER. LOVE STILL COVERS a multitude of sins.
How many times has God covered you with His love?
May I remind you of what type of love it was.
“Love is PATIENT, love is KIND. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-5
“LOVE DOES NOT DELIGHT IN EVIL but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
1 Corinthians 13:6-7
LOVE DOES NOT DELIGHT IN EVIL but rejoices with the truth….
📝 Love doesn’t love to ENDORSE sin. Love loves IN SPITE of sin.
“For GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16
📝 Love NEVER fails. 1 Corinthians 13:8
📝 Allow me to LOOK through you.
“And he must needs go through Samaria.”
John 4:4
“Now JACOB’S WELL WAS THERE. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, SAT THUS BY THE WELL. It was about the sixth hour.”
John 4:6
Constantly be on the lookout for JACOB’S WELL OPPORTUNITIES.
📝 Allow me to LIVE through you.
“And THE WORD BECAME FLESH and DWELT AMONG US, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14
“The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. WE SAW THE GLORY
WITH OUR OWN EYES, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.”
John 1:14
“From Miletus, Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders of the church. When they arrived, he said to them: “YOU KNOW HOW I LIVED THE WHOLE TIME I WAS WITH YOU, from the first day I came into the province of Asia.”
Acts 20:17-18
“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, OR SEEN IN ME—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
Philippians 4:9
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but CHRIST LIVES IN ME. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20
Let me tell you about this Christ that lives through me. Hebrews 7:25 says,
“Therefore HE IS ALSO ABLE TO SAVE TO THE UTTERMOST those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”
Hebrews 7:25
There’s not a name that you can utter that He can’t save. There’s not a substance that you can utter that He can’t deliver you from! There’s not a situation that you can utter that He can’t turn for His glory! He’s The Most High. He’s The Most Holy. He’s The Most Powerful. He’s The Most patient. He’s The Most Compassionate. He’s The Most understanding. He’s the most loving. This is why HE’S ABLE TO SAVE TO THE UTTERMOST!!!
And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, ready to PRAY through you. And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, ready to LOVE through you. And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, ready to LOOK through you. And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, ready to LIVE through you. And be sure of this: I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS ready to SAVE, ready to HEAL, ready to deliver, ready to set your loved ones free in MY NAME!
We believe because we know what God can do! We believe because we’ve seen what God can do. We believe because we’ve experienced what God can do. You can’t make me doubt Him, I know too much about Him!
You can believe what you want to believe, But I’m telling you right now, I believe in God the Father! I believe in Christ the Son! I believe in the Holy Spirit! Our God is three in one. I believe in the resurrection. That we will rise again. I believe in the Name of Jesus, the who is able to save the uttermost.
WHO ARE YOU BELIEVING GOD FOR?
“THE PROMISE is FOR YOU and YOUR CHILDREN and FOR ALL who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.””
Acts 2:39
NO ONE IS TOO FAR AWAY FOR THIS LOVE THAT CAME NEAR. WE BELIEVE.
