"The Stamp That Matters"

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom YOU WERE SEALED for the day of redemption.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

WHEN WERE WE SEALED? John‬ ‭19‬:‭30‬…

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, IT IS FINISHED: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

‭‭John‬ ‭19‬:‭30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Greek word translated “it is finished” is tetelestai, an accounting term that means “paid in full.” When Jesus uttered those words, He was declaring the debt owed to His Father was wiped away completely and forever. Not that Jesus wiped away any debt that He owed to the Father; rather, Jesus eliminated the debt owed by mankind—the debt of sin.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

by canceling THE RECORD OF DEBT THAT STOOD AGAINST US with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Colossians 2:14 ESV

When Jesus said It is finished, TETELESTAI, it was equivalent to an accountant, taking a stamp to the paper that said paid in full! God woke me up this morning to tell you, that you’ve been stamped, with THE STAMP THAT MATTERS! 

For far too long you’ve been looking for other people’s stamp of approval. Beloved, can I tell you something this Sunday morning, you’ve been stamped, with the stamp that really matters. In John 19:30, when Jesus said TETELESTAI, it is finished, He gave you and I the stamp that really matters! 

📝 You’ve been stamped by LOVE.

📝 You’ve been stamped by FORGIVENESS.

📝 You’ve been stamped by VALUE.

📝 You’ve been stamped by WORTH.

📝 You’ve been stamped by ACCEPTANCE.

📝 You’ve been stamped by POWER.

📝 You’ve been stamped by PURPOSE.

YOU’VE BEEN STAMPED BY THE STAMP THAT MATTERS!

📝 In JOHN 3:16 we find the stamp of love. 

“For God SO LOVED THE WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

📝 In ISAIAH 43:25 we find the stamp of forgiveness.

““I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and REMEMBERS YOUR SINS NO MORE.”

📝 In PSALM 139:14 we find the stamp of value.

“I praise you because I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

📝 In EPHESIANS 2:10 we find the stamp of WORTH.

“FOR WE ARE GOD’S MASTERPIECE. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

📝 In ROMANS 15:7 we find the stamp of acceptance.

“Therefore, accept each other JUST AS CHRIST HAS ACCEPTED YOU so that God will be given glory.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

📝 In LUKE 24:49 we find the stamp of power.

I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been CLOTHED WITH POWER from on high.”

📝 In PROVERBS 19:21 we find the stamp of PURPOSE.

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is THE LORD’S PURPOSE that prevails.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19‬:‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When He stamped you, He sealed you. Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭30‬ ‭NLT‬‬ says it like this…

“And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, HE HAS IDENTIFIED YOU AS HIS OWN, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.”

📝 Why live according to LIES, when you’ve been stamped with the TRUTH?

WHAT HAVE YOU ALLOWED, TO ATTEMPT TO ERASE HIS STAMP?
