"How Much More"

Pastor Albert Almore

"When He had said this, He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. And it came to pass, when He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples,“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here.“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ”“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them. But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?” And they said, “The Lord has need of him.”“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭32‬-‭34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

HOW MUCH MORE

""Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.“

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?“

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, HOW MUCH MORE will your Father who is in heaven give GOOD THINGS to those who ask Him!“

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, HOW MUCH MORE will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of HOW MUCH MORE VALUE are you than the birds?“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

"Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, HOW MUCH MORE will He clothe you, O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH?“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This morning’s message has arrived at the doorstep of your heart TO. BUILD. YOUR. FAITH!

"saying, "GO INTO THE VILLAGE OPPOSITE YOU, where as you enter YOU WILL FIND A COLT…"

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If Jesus was able to stand in one village, and declare to the disciples exactly where a young donkey was in a complete opposite village, then…

📝 • How much more am I SEEN?

"Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him, "We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.”“

‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭45‬ ‭NLT‬‬

""Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. "Can anything good come from Nazareth?” "Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied. As they approached, Jesus said, "Now here is a genuine son of Israel—a man of complete integrity.”“

‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭46‬-‭47‬ ‭NLT‬‬

"Nathanael said to Him, "How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, "BEFORE PHILIP CALLED YOU, when you were under the fig tree, I SAW YOU.”“

‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭48‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This moment caused Nathanael to pause. How did he know? How did he see? This was a special secret, a special moment only known to them both. Jesus said to him, “Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.” And it stopped Nathanael in his tracks. John‬ ‭1‬:‭49‬ ‭says,

"Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”“

‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭49‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I can see Nathanael softly, repeating to himself in awe, "He saw me. He saw me.” With tears coming down his face as he kept whispering, "He saw me. He saw me….”

"YOU KEEP TRACK of all my sorrows. YOU HAVE COLLECTED ALL MY TEARS IN YOUR BOTTLE.You have recorded each one in your book.“

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭56‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

📝 God captures your tears because HE SEES.

📝 God captures your tears because HE’S THERE.

Hagar understood this. In one of the most beautiful declarations ever uttered by mankind, Genesis 16:13 says,

"Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said, “YOU ARE THE GOD WHO SEES ME.” She also said, "Have I truly seen THE ONE WHO SEES ME?”“

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭16‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Why are you wasting time trying to be seen?

You’re seen, by the one who sees it all. You are seen by the one who matters the most—God Almighty.

David recognized this truth, and said in Psalm 139:1,

"O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. YOU SEE ME when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:1-3‬ NLT

He’s the God that sees, but God doesn’t just see me, just to see me.

"saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. LOOSE IT and bring it here.“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If Jesus was able to stand in one village, and authorize a young donkey to be loosed, then…

📝 • How much more does God desire to FREE YOU?

This donkey had never been ridden before. While tied up, this donkey watched other donkeys leave. While tied up, this donkey watched other donkey’s be ridden. I wonder if that donkey ever thought to himself, "This is all I’m ever going to be. It’s always going to be like this.” Tied up by doubt, tied up by lack of self worth, tied up by lack of value, here comes Jesus saying, LOOSE HIM, AND LET HIM GO! Jesus didn’t just see Him, to see Him. Jesus saw him, to free him! In similar fashion God says the same in Exodus 3:7-8,

"And the Lord said: "I have surely SEEN the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have HEARD their cry because of their taskmasters, for I KNOW their sorrows. 8) So I HAVE COME DOWN TO DELIVER THEM OUT

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God doesn’t just see me, just to see me…

📝 God sees me to BRING ME OUT! God sees me to remind me that I’m not alone. God sees me to remind me that He’s not done, therefore neither am I. God sees me to confirm in me that change is coming!

"IT IS FOR FREEDOM THAT CHRIST HAS SET US FREE...”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"Therefore IF THE SON MAKES YOU FREEYOU SHALL BE FREE INDEED.“

‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If Jesus had need of a young donkey…

📝 How much more does God have a PURPOSE for me?

Who me? Yes you!

📝 SEEN on purpose, for a purpose.

📝 FREED on purpose, for a purpose.

📝 CALLED on purpose, for a purpose.

📝 HIDDEN on purpose until now, for a purpose.

For Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up For This Very Purpose, that I MIGHT DISPLAY MY POWER IN YOU and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

Romans 9:17 NIV

If God can do all of this through a HARDENED HEART like Pharaoh, HOW MUCH MORE, can God do with a SURRENDERED HEART like yours?

"Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, AND THEY SET JESUS ON HIM.

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What a moment we’re witnessing. In this very moment, the Word of God and prophecy was being fulfilled in this very moment. AROUND 500 years before Jesus was born, Zechariah 9:9 said,

"Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, RIDING ON A DONKEY— RIDING ON A DONKEY’S COLT.

‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭9‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

500 years later, and this moment is here! 500 years later and this is the young donkey that Jesus chooses! I can imagine that young donkey right now, especially since God did cause a donkey to talk in the Bible.

"Then the Lord gave the donkey the ability to speak. “What have I done to you that deserves your beating me three times?” it asked Balaam. “You have made me look like a fool!” Balaam shouted. “If I had a sword with me, I would kill you!”“

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭22‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭NLT‬‬

""But I am the same donkey you have ridden all your life,” THE DONKEY ANSWERED. “Have I ever done anything like this before?” “No,” Balaam admitted.“

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭22‬:‭30‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Because of ALLL of this, I can imagine that young donkey right now, seeing Jesus and thinking to himself, or possibly saying, JUST LIKE US…

Who me??? You want to use me??? You want to use me for such a time as this??? You mean to tell me that I’ve been reserved FOR SUCH A MOMENT AS THIS??? There’s no way that you can use me. I’m unfit. I’m undone. I’m unworthy. If the donkey thought this, THIS COULDN’T BE MORE TRUE.

Because during those times, donkeys were truly deemed as UCLEAN, UNWORTHY to be sacrificed. One of the only few animals that were deemed unfit to be sacrificed to God. There was only one way to make this situation right. Exodus 13:13 says.

"You can spare the life of a first-born donkey BY SACRIFICING A LAMB…”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭13‬:‭13‬ ‭CEV‬‬

This is interesting because John 1:29 says,

"The next day, John saw Jesus coming toward him and said: Here is THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SIN of the world!“

‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭29‬ ‭CEV‬‬

"Then they brought him to Jesus…”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

They brought the unclean to the clean.

They brought the unclean donkey to the spotless Lamb. They brought the donkey to the only one who could sanctify him for this moment—Jesus, THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SIN of the world!

If Jesus can redeem an unclean donkey, HOW MUCH MORE can He redeem you?

Even though he was never ridden, he was still deemed unclean, and still needed a Savior just like us.

And before Jesus gets on the young donkey, before they throw garments onto the young donkey, Jesus sees this….

As Jesus rode that young donkey, as Jesus glimpsed at that cross on the young donkey’s back, I can’t but help to wonder if Jesus reflected on His Words in John 10:11,

"I am the good shepherd, and THE GOOD SHEPHERD GIVES UP HIS LIFE for his sheep.“

‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭11‬ ‭CEV‬‬

"Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him. And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭35‬-‭36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen,“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭37‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

"saying: “ ‘BLESSED IS THE KING who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭38‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Blessed is the King? What about that fresh young donkey that he’s on? WHAT ABOUT HIM? As beautiful, and powerful as this story is about the young donkey, if the young donkey was here today he would tell you,

📝 "THIS STORY IS ALL ABOUT KING JESUS. I’M JUST A CARRIER." -Young Donkey

📝 No matter how far God takes us. No matter how much God uses us, may we always remember that we’re simply CARRIERS OF THE KING.

The crowd cried out…‘BLESSED IS THE KING who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”“‭‭ Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭39‬-‭40‬…

"And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, THE STONES WOULD IMMEDIATELY CRY OUT.”“

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭39‬-‭40‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We join in with the angels, we join in with the children, we join in with the crowd, Hosanna!!! We exalt thee!
