"Beyond The Lines"
Pastor Albert Almore
📝 The only reason we’re all here today is because Heaven went BEYOND THE LINES.
📝 Heaven didn’t allow the lines of FEAR, SIN, or the OPINION of others to stop it from reaching you.
Today’s Message:
BEYOND THE LINES
Heaven went on a rescue mission for each of us beyond the lines of safety and comfort to come rescue us.
“When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) he left Judæa, and departed again into Galilee.”
John 4:1-3 KJV
“And HE MUST NEEDS GO THROUGH SAMARIA.”
John 4:4 KJV
“So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.”
John 4:5-6 NKJV
“There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)”
John 4:7-8 KJV
“Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” FOR JEWS HAVE NO DEALINGS WITH SAMARITANS.”
John 4:9 NKJV
“Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.””
John 4:10 NKJV
“The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?””
John 4:11-12 NKJV
“Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.””
John 4:13-14 NKJV
“The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.” Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.””
John 4:15-16 NKJV
“The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.””
John 4:17-18 NKJV
“The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.””
John 4:19-20 NKJV
“Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.”
John 4:21-22 NKJV
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.””
John 4:23-24 NKJV
“The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.””
John 4:25 NKJV
“Jesus said to her, “I WHO SPEAK TO YOU AM HE.””
John 4:26 NKJV
“And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He talked with a woman; yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why are You talking with her?””
John 4:27 NKJV
“The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” Then they went out of the city and came to Him.”
John 4:28-30 NKJV
“In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.””
John 4:31-32 NKJV
“Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?””
John 4:33 NKJV
“Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”
John 4:34 NKJV
“And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.””
John 4:39 NKJV
“So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. And many more believed because of His own word.”
John 4:40-41 NKJV
“Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.””
John 4:42 NKJV
I have so much I want to share with you from this story but time won’t allow it. A couple of things that are abundantly clear to me from today’s reading is this….
📝 • Jesus came to ERASE.
📝 Jesus didn’t come to live INSIDE the lines. Jesus came to ERASE THEM.
📝 • Jesus came to ENGAGE.
“So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; AND HE STAYED THERE TWO DAYS. And many more believed because of His own word.”
John 4:40-41 NKJV
📝• Jesus came to ERADICATE.
Eradicate- TO DO AWAY WITH AS COMPLETELY as if by pulling up by the roots.
Jesus came to do away with being ostracized. Jesus came to do away with being overlooked. Jesus came to do away with feelings of rejection. Jesus came to do away with sin and the effects of it in your life. Don’t you see???
“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. AND WHOSOEVER WILL, let him take the water of life freely.”
Revelation 22:17 KJV
📝 There isn’t a LINE that Heaven won’t CROSS to get to you.
“BY THIS all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.””
John 13:35 NKJV
📝 Love is the BUY IN.
“Most assuredly, I say to you, A SERVANT IS NOT GREATER THAN HIS MASTER; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.”
John 13:16 NKJV
📝 We go BEYOND THE PEW, because Jesus went BEYOND THE GRAVE for each of us.
“GO therefore and MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL THE NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV
📝 CAN GOD USE YOU AS AN ERASER?
Before God can use you as an eraser, there are some things that He needs to erase.
📝 • It’s going to take you ABANDONING your old ideologies.
📝 • You must to get to the place of SURRENDER.
📝 • You must TRUST IN GOD.
“I sought the LORD, and HE HEARD ME, AND DELIVERED ME FROM ALL MY FEARS.”
Psalm 34:4 KJV
